Immunoglobulin A IgA Test

Increased IgA (Immunoglobulin A) levels are associated with monoclonal IgA myeloma, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, and malabsorption, while decreased IgA levels are found in selective IgA deficiency cases and in ataxia telangiectasia.

Our IgA test is used to measure the level of immunoglobulin A in the blood. IgA antibodies are one of the most common antibodies in the body. Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system to fight foreign matter like bacteria, viruses and toxins.
