Sunflower Seed Allergy Test

This IgE antibody allergy test uses a blood sample to determine if you are allergic to Sunflower Seeds and sunflower seed byproducts.

Seed allergies are fairly uncommon. They’re much less common than a peanut allergy, however, a sunflower seed allergy has very similar symptoms to a peanut allergy.

An allergic reaction to sunflower seeds can be fairly mild. If you experience any of the following symptoms then you may have a sunflower seed allergy:

• Itching
• Eczema
• Vomiting
• Upset Stomach

Alternatively, a more severe sunflower seed allergy could result in anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis symptoms involve difficulty remaining conscious and/or difficulty breathing. If this occurs, it should be considered a medical emergency.
